Create a bot on Zalo
Open the Zalo app, find the "Zalo Bot Manager" OA, and choose Create bot. The bot's name must start with "Bot", for example "Bot MyShop".

Zalo sends you the bot token in a Zalo message. Keep it like a password.

Paste the token into Zinochat
In Connections, choose Zalo Bot and paste the token. Zinochat checks the token, sets the webhook, and adds the bot to your inbox.

What is a Zalo Bot?
A Zalo Bot is a bot account on Zalo, provided by the Zalo Bot Platform. A bot’s name always starts with “Bot”, so customers know right away that they are messaging an automated assistant. A shop creates the bot in the Zalo app and receives a bot token. The token is the key that lets software receive and answer messages for you.
On its own, the bot does not know what to say. Connected to Zinochat, your Zalo Bot gets an AI assistant that understands how customers actually write, including abbreviations, missing diacritics, and photos, and replies from your shop’s data instead of only matching keywords.

Limits to know before using a Zalo Bot
- Basic plan limits: according to Zalo (September 2026), each bot serves up to 50 users and 3,000 messages per day.
- No voice messages yet: Zalo does not pass voice content to bots. Voice notes from customers go unanswered.
- No follow-ups yet: Zinochat does not send follow-ups on a Zalo Bot, because Zalo has not published how long a bot may message a customer first.
- One bot, one webhook: connecting Zinochat replaces the webhook of any other tool using the same bot.
- Tell customers they are talking to an automated assistant: the Zalo Bot Platform terms require it. Say so in the bot’s description, for example “The shop’s automated assistant”.
Build your own bot or use Zinochat?
You can program a Zalo Bot yourself with an SDK or a tool like n8n: receive the webhook, call an AI model, then send the reply. That is flexible, but you handle the product data, conversation history, order taking, and a place for your team to reply.

01What is a Zalo Bot?
A Zalo Bot is a Zalo account for a bot, with a name that starts with "Bot". A shop creates the bot in the Zalo app through the "Zalo Bot Manager" OA and receives a bot token. When you connect that token to Zinochat, the AI assistant answers the messages customers send to the bot.
02Is creating a Zalo Bot free?
According to Zalo (September 2026), the Basic plan is free and allows up to 3 bots, 50 users per bot, and 3,000 messages per day. What connecting the bot to Zinochat costs is in the last question.
03Where do I get the bot token?
After you create the bot, Zalo sends the bot token in a Zalo message. If the token leaks, reset it in Zalo Bot Creator under Settings, then paste the new token into Zinochat. Existing messages and conversations are kept.
04Should I use a Zalo Bot or a Zalo OA?
A Zalo Bot is quick and free to create, which suits small shops or trying out AI sales on Zalo. A Zalo OA is a business's official account, without the 50-user limit, and Zinochat also supports voice messages and follow-ups on an OA. You can connect both to the same inbox.
05Does the AI understand voice messages sent to a Zalo Bot?
Not yet. Zalo does not pass the content of voice messages to bots, so the AI cannot hear voice notes sent to a Zalo Bot. If your customers often send voice notes, use a Zalo OA; on an OA, the AI transcribes voice messages and answers them.
06I use my Zalo Bot with n8n. Can I connect it to Zinochat?
Each Zalo Bot has only one webhook address. When you connect the bot to Zinochat, Zinochat replaces the old webhook, so the other tool stops receiving messages. To keep both, create a separate bot for Zinochat.
07How much does connecting a Zalo Bot to Zinochat cost?
